accessibility statement
Klyo is committed to making the web usable for everyone. This statement describes the standard we aim for, what we have done, and how to tell us when we have fallen short.
Conformance target
Klyo targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA across every public page on klyoapp.com. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard the U.S. Department of Justice cites for ADA Title III compliance and the standard most U.S. courts apply to commercial websites.
What we have done
- Form labels and ARIA. Every form input has an associated label or ARIA attribute so screen readers can identify controls correctly.
- Alternative text. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alt text. Decorative images are hidden from the accessibility tree.
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator at all times.
- Reduced motion. Animations and transitions respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query. Users who have opted out of motion at the OS level will see static or minimal transitions. - Color contrast. Text and interactive controls meet the AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text against their backgrounds.
- Skip-to-content link. A skip link appears on keyboard focus so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass repeated navigation.
- Heading order. Page headings follow a logical hierarchy (
h1→h2→h3) so users navigating by heading can orient themselves correctly.
Assistive technologies tested
- VoiceOver on macOS with Safari
- VoiceOver on iOS with Safari
- NVDA on Windows with Firefox
- Keyboard-only navigation (no pointer device)
- Browser zoom up to 200%
